Three Oaks Recreation Area now has Stand Up Paddleboard rentals and lessons provided by Alpine Accessories from 10am to 4pm every Saturday. Sign up at the North Lake gazebo on Saturdays or reserve your time slot at Alpine Accessories store at 9219 S IL Route 31, Lake in the Hills IL, 847-854-4754.
Lessons are $30 for a 90 minute session which includes dry land instruction and an instructor to go out on the water with you.
Rentals only are $15 per hour. For your first time out it is highly recommended you take a lesson first.
You must be 12 or older and if you are 12 – 17 you must have a parent with to sign the City of Crystal Lakes waiver form. The rentals and/or lessons include the paddleboard, paddle, life vest and board leash.
